PO-101 Ham Radio Satellite Pass East Coast USA
The PO-101 (Diwata-2) is a Filipino amateur radio satellite launched on October 29, 2018, as part of the Philippine government’s space program. It is a microsatellite designed for Earth observation, scientific experiments, and amateur radio communication. The satellite carries an Automatic Packet Reporting System (APRS) and a VHF-UHF amateur radio transponder, enabling amateur radio operators to communicate via the satellite. In addition to supporting disaster management and environmental monitoring, PO-101 also serves as an educational tool to promote science and technology in the Philippines.
